Aerosols in Dentistry

Since the onset of the pandemic, we have all been affected in our professional and personal lives. We have had to adapt clinical practice and experienced shortages of PPE. Dental Advisor has in the meantime been hard at work doing some preliminary testing on aerosol and spatter mitigating products. Minimal research has been done on aerosols in dentistry, factors that influence it, or on products intended to mitigate aerosols. We wanted to perform initial testing that was real-life and that clinicians could understand.
