Biomaterials Research Laboratory

Two members of our scientific team are now qualified to perform scanning electron microscopy studies at the University of Michigan Center for Materials Characterization. This capability allows us to look at material surfaces with exceptional depth of field and magnification to help explain product success and failure. For example, when used to evaluate the change in the diamonds imbedded in a diamond bur before and after use, images can help explain the change in cutting rate and provide insight into modifications that might improve the life of a bur.

Determining diamond and carbide bur durability is one of our strengths. Let us show you how you compare to your competitors.
