Description

Nupro White Varnish is a 5% sodium fluoride varnish with rapid fluoride release. It is formulated to reduce the amount of time patients must avoid hot beverages, crunchy foods, brushing, etc., by half. Nupro White Varnish comes in a unit-dose pack that the user can snap onto a prophy grip, place on a flat surface, or grasp in between fingers. Nupro White Varnish can be applied to wet teeth and sets to a clear coating. It is available in 0.25 g and 0.4 g in four flavors: mint (only 0.4 g), bubblegum, raspberry and grape. Each box includes brushes and a prophy grip. Nupro White Varnish was evaluated by 36 consultants in 817 uses. This fluoride varnish received a 96% clinical rating.

Nupro White Varnish quickly set to a clear finish, which is important to patient acceptance. The variety of flavors was appealing to adults and children. The quick fluoride release that allows patients to be free of restrictions in two hours was well received. Application is smooth, with no clumping or dripping. It can be applied to wet teeth but went on more evenly if the teeth were relatively dry. The Nupro White Varnish packs are easy to hold and handle.
