Jazz Supreme Polishers
- “Shape selection is very good.”
- “Durable – polishers do not fall apart, even after sterilization.”
- “Include a more flexible disk for use on anterior teeth.”
Jazz Supreme Polishers is a one-step, universal polishing system for intraoral use on composite restorations. These polishers are autoclavable and re-usable. Jazz Supreme Polishers fit latch-type handpieces. Polishing should be started at 10,000-15,000 rpm with firm pressure, and then finished at lower speed with lighter pressure. The kit contains one autoclavable bur block with one each of four shapes: flame, knife edge, cup, and small flame. The bur block positions for each polisher are labeled with the specific polisher name and appropriate reorder number. Jazz Supreme Polishers was evaluated by 30 consultants to polish over 670 restorations. This product received a 92% clinical rating.
Jazz Supreme Polishers received high ratings in all categories. Consultants liked the autoclavable bur block and the overall shape selection. The most used shapes were the flame and the cup. Consultants liked the convenience of a one-step, reusable composite polishing system for general use. One-step polishers are preferred for use on posterior restorations, while highly esthetic anterior restorations may require additional products for super high gloss. The polishers are durable during use and after repeated sterilization cycles. Fifty-seven percent of consultants found Jazz Supreme Polishers to be equivalent to or better than their current composite polishing system, 50% would switch to Jazz Supreme Polishers and 57% would recommend the system to a colleague.
- Start polishing with more pressure, and use less pressure as you proceed to achieve a higher gloss.
