Which type of posterior composite do you recommend based on the physical properties of the material and how well it holds up clinically?

We have just completed a 2-year clinical study with Clearfil Majesty Esthetic (Kuraray America, Inc), a universal nano-filled composite which mimics the refraction and translucency of natural teeth. On a scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) in a total of 141 restorations that were evaluated after 2 years, resistance to fracture scored 4.97, esthetics 4.99, resistance to marginal discoloration 4.92, wear resistance 5.0, and sensitivity 5.0. Based on the results of this study, THE DENTAL ADVISOR gave this composite a 5+ rating.
