What types of restorations can be cemented with self-adhesive resin cements?

Self-adhesive resin cements are well suited for any cementable dental restoration. This would include ceramic-metal, all-metal, and high-strength ceramic inlays, onlays, crowns or bridges, and posts of all types. This type of cement is not recommended for restorations such as feldspathic or pressble ceramic crowns and porcelain veneers. There are many self-adhesive products on the market today, some of which include Breeze Self-Adhesive Resin Cement (Pentron Clinical Technologies), 3M ESPE RelyX Unicem Self-Adhesive System (3M ESPE), and Maxcem Elite (Kerr Corporation).
