The topical fluoride I use is too runny and causes some patients to gag. Are there any alternatives to liquid topical fluoride?

Denti-Foam (MEDICOM, Inc.) is a fluoride foam used in trays for topical treatment. It comes in acidulated phosphate (APF) and neutral sodium fluoride (NSF) formulations. The APF product comes in six flavors and should be inserted for one minute. The NSF formulation comes in two flavors and should be used intraorally for four minutes. Because of the low-slump, high-flow formula, the foam is designed to reach all surfaces of the teeth, yet prevent gagging.
