I have seen advertisements for LUMINEERS, but I do not know much about the product. What type of ceramic are they fabricated with and what are the results of clinical studies?

LUMINEERS BY CERINATE (Den-Mat Holdings, LLC) are leucite-reinforced pressed ceramic. This type of ceramic can be used to create veneers with minimal or no tooth reduction, traditional veneers and anterior crowns. In a clinical study of LUMINEERS BY CERINATE, clinical consultants of THE DENTAL ADVISOR placed 216 restorations in 50 patients. At recall that varied from one to three years, resistance to fracture, esthetics, resistance to microleakage, and wear resistance were rated excellent for more than 98% of the restorations.
