Description
Tetric EvoCeram is a universal, nanohybrid composite. It is indicated for Class I, II, III, IV, and V restorations; veneering anterior teeth; splinting of mobile teeth; and repair of ceramic and composite veneers. Nineteen radiopaque shades are available: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, A4, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3, D3 (enamel shades), A3.5, A4, B2 (dentin), T (transparent incisal), XL, L, I, M (bleach). This light-cured composite consists of particles ranging in size from 40 to 3,000 nm with an average particle size of 550 nm. Total content of inorganic fillers for the bleach shades is 60-61% by volume (79-80% by weight) and for all other shades 53-55% by volume (75-76% by weight). Tetric EvoCeram takes advantage of nanotechnology to allow for better polishing and lower shrinkage. It is packaged in 0.2-g, color-coded, unit-dose Cavifils and 3-g, color-coded syringes. Both the syringe and the unit-dose packages come with a custom shade guide. Twenty-five consultants used Tetric EvoCeram in over 200 anterior and 300 posterior teeth. This product received a 96% clinical rating.
