Description

HurriSept Antiseptic Hand Gel is a waterless hand wash intended for use by healthcare personnel. It contains ethyl alcohol plus aloe vera moisturizer gel and meets CDC, OSHA, and APIC guidelines. HurriSept is an appropriate hand hygiene agent for use before or after direct contact with patients, with or without glove use, and when in contact with patient equipment and materials or personal protective items. HurriSept is packaged in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser and has a berry scent. Thirty-four consultants evaluated HurriSept over a three-month period. This product received a 92% clinical rating.

Product Features

The ease of use and fast drying characteristics of HurriSept were rated highly. Sixty percent of consultants approved of the fruity scent, while 40% found the scent to be too strong. Similarly, some liked the fast drying time of HurriSept, while others thought it was too slow. Some consultants found that the powder inside some latex gloves tended to “ball up” when HurriSept was used. The lack of stickiness and the good moisturizing effect on skin were reported as positive features. Ninety-two percent of consultants rated HurriSept as equivalent to or better than their usual antiseptic hand hygiene agent. Sixty-four percent of consultants would purchase HurriSept and 65% would recommend it to other offices.

• If hands are visibly soiled, scrub with soap and water.
• Allow HurriSept to dry before donning gloves.
