What are some clinical tips for success with staining and glazing of CAD/CAM ceramic restorations?

Apply glaze with a minimal amount of thinner. Mix the glaze paste to thin it first and then add thinner if needed. Too much thinning agent can result in bubbles. Apply an even amount of glaze to the entire surface. Remember that stain is very intense. You should barely be able to see the stain in the wet state. When staining an e.max blue block, if you can clearly see all stain, it is too much. The less stain, the better.
