Advantages of the iTero are:

• Short learning curve
• No powder needed
• Anti-fog feature in scanner head
• Point and click system
• Guided scanner tells you what to do
• Keeps track of work flow
• Can unplug and move unit without shutting down – battery backup for 5 minutes

Disadvantages of the iTero are:

• Larger scanner head
• Margin detail on images not crisp to view but marginal fit is good
• Missing data not available until scans are completed
• Unable to add scans until the end
• Heavy to move between operatories
