To minimize fracture of CEREC crowns, a speaker advised the use of phosphoric acid on the tooth, followed by a bonding agent, and then RelyX Unicem. Do you agree?

CEREC (Sirona) crowns are feldspathic porcelain and should be bonded with a strong resin cement. Etch the internal surface of the crown with HF gel and silanate. Use a bonding agent (total-etch or self-etching, dual-cured adhesive) and dual-cured esthetic resin cement (Clearfil Esthetic Cement, Kuraray America). It is ok to cement CEREC inlays using self-adhesive resin cement such as 3M ESPE RelyX Unicem Universal Resin Cement (3M ESPE). The use of bonding agents with self-adhesive resin cements is not recommended.
