Is there a way to remove scratch marks in ceramic crowns that are made by an ultrasonic scaler during a dental prophylaxis?

Ultrasonic scaling can certainly cause scratches on ceramic restorations. There is a new product that is specifically formulated to remove stains and scratches from composites and ceramic intraorally. The material is an alumina polish called CPR Cosmetic Polishing Restorative Sapphire Paste (IC Care). It can be used as a prophy paste on natural teeth as well as on dental restorations to restore original shine and polish, after bleaching, and after original placement of composites to polish new restorations.
