I like the concept of an LED curing light, but the product I bought doesn’t seem to have a very bright light. How can I be sure it is curing correctly?

Some LED curing lights have a more narrow wavelength spectrum of light output than the traditional halogen lights. You must make sure that the composite you use is compatible with your particular curing light. Most LED curing lights come with a plastic curing disk that you can test your composite with. The composite should feel rock hard on both sides of the disk after curing with an acceptable light. The traditional light radiometers used to test light output with halogen lights do not work appropriately on LED lights, and should not be used to test light output. Some LED lights have their own built-in radiometer that you should use often to make sure your light is curing at the correct magnitude. Both of these techniques can be used to test your light’s curing capability.
