Currently, I have air-driven handpieces, but would like to try electric handpieces. Are there any electric handpieces that you recommend that can be incorporated into my current system?

Midwest eStylus (DENTSPLY Professional/Midwest) is an electric handpiece system that is integrated into your current dental unit. Some of its desirable features include fiber optics, auto-reverse and torque control. It can be used for restorative, endodontics, prosthodontics and for prophys. The brush micro-motor speed ranges from 1500 to 40,000 rpm and is calibrated to the dental unit air pressure to provide the same speed/response to pedal pressure. The handpiece attachments are an endodontic contra-angle latch (150-4000 rpm), a contra-angle latch (1500-40,000 rpm), a straight (1500-40,000 rpm), and a contra-angle and friction grip (7500-200,000 rpm) option. The unit can be programmed with up to 12 custom settings plus an endodontic mode with pre-set torque limits and flashing fiber optics to indicate auto-reverse. One hundred percent of THE DENTAL ADVISOR clinical consultants who tried the handpiece would recommend it.
