Can I use a resin cement to lute metal-ceramic fixed partial dentures?

Esthetic resin cements are not the best type of cement to use
for PFM restorations. This type of cement is best used in cementing all-ceramic restorations such as veneers, indirect inlays/onlays or all-ceramic crowns (high-leucite or feldspathic porcelain, not zirconia restorations). Esthetic resin cements have primers that bond to tooth structure and etched porcelain, but do not bond to metal. Although some are dual-cured, they may need to be light initiated to set properly. Adhesive resin cements, such as Multilink Automix or Panavia F 2.0; self-adhesive resin cements, such as RelyX Unicem or Maxcem Elite; or resin-modified glass ionomer cements, such as RelyX Luting Plus or GC FujiCEM are the best types of cements to use with any metal-based restoration.
