Can I use 6th-generation bonding agents for cementation of veneers?

The bond strength of 6th-generation bonding agents is adequate for bonding veneers with resin cements. A concern is microleakage over time. THE DENTAL ADVISOR recommends the use of 6th-generation (Type I) bonding agents [AdheSE (Ivoclar Vivadent); Clearfil PROTECT BOND (Kuraray America)]. Rub the primer vigorously into the surface before applying the adhesive. Note – 6th-generation (Type I) bonding agents have the primer and adhesive in separate bottles.
