Description

Xeno IV Dual Cure is a 7th-generation, one-step, self-etching, self-priming dental adhesive. Inclusion of the dual-cure activator allows bonding of indirect composite restorations, core materials, and cements to enamel and dentin. After mixing the adhesive and dual-cure activator, two 15-second applications should be scrubbed into the tooth. Xeno IV Dual Cure requires a 10-second light cure by standard techniques. The kit contains one 4.5-ml bottle each of bonding agent and dual-cure activator, 100 applicators, a mixing well, and a laminated instruction card. Twenty-four consultants used Xeno IV Dual Cure in over 600 cases including direct anterior and posterior restorations, core placement, and restoration cementation. This product received a 96% clinical rating.

Product Features

Consultants reported that Xeno IV Dual Cure was easily incorporated into office routines. Packaging is uncomplicated, the laminated instruction card is straightforward, and dispensing and application are easy. The bonding agent wets both dentin and enamel surfaces well, leaving a shiny surface that assures that coverage is achieved. Neither odor during application nor postoperative sensitivity was a problem. Eighty-eight percent of consultants rated Xeno IV Dual Cure as equivalent to or better than their current dual-cure bonding agent, 74% would switch to Xeno IV Dual Cure, and 83% would recommend it to colleagues.
