Description

3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative is a low-viscosity, visible-light activated, radiopaque, flowable nanocomposite. It is packaged in unit-dose capsules and syringes. It is available in shades A1, A2, A3, A3.5, A4, B1, B2 C2, D2, White, Extra White, and OA3, which were designed to coordinate with shades offered with Filtek Supreme Ultra Universal Restorative. 3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative is indicated for use in Class III and V restorations, for the restoration of minimally invasive cavity preparations (including small, non stress-bearing occlusal restorations), as a base/liner under direct restorations, for the repair of small defects in esthetic indirect restorations, as a pit and fissure sealant, as an undercut blockout, and for the repair of resin and acrylic temporary materials. Each package contains two, 2-g syringes with 20 dispensing tips or 20, 0.2 g unit-dose capsules. 3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative was evaluated by 34 consultants in 1511 uses. It received an 86% clinical rating.

Product Features

3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative in the syringe delivery was a familiar delivery system to the consultants. The product extrudes easily through the pre-bent metal tips. The unit-dose capsule has a thin plastic nozzle for placement into small areas. Consultants noted that dispensing from the capsules was not as smooth as the syringe; the composite came out in spurts making it hard to control volume of material. Shade selection is good but shades were too translucent, especially for some cervical restorations. Forty-four percent of consultants reported that 3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative was better than their current flowable composite and 44% reported that it was equivalent. Fifty-nine percent would switch to 3M ESPE Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative and 82% would recommend it.
