Product Features

SpectraFill is suitable for both anterior and posterior applications. It is easy to handle and packs well into the prepared tooth without sticking to the placement instruments. Consultants noted a shift in shade of the composite during curing. The uncured material is bright and opaque compared to the finished restoration, which rated highly for blending with the tooth and final match to the Vita Shade guide. The ease of final finish and polish was also rated above average. Sixty percent of consultants rated SpectraFill equivalent to or better than their most frequently used light-cured, microhybrid composite, 90% stated they would recommend SpectraFill, and 35% would switch to it.

Clinical Tips

  • Cure a small increment of composite on the tooth to confirm shade if esthetics are crucial.

  • Use a patting and spreading motion to sculpt and contour the composite.
