A Clinical Evaluation is a concise, objective, accurate, evidence-based article
on how a dental product or piece of equipment performs in a general dentistry
practice. The evaluation process begins when the product and custom survey are sent to a randomly selected group of 20 to 30 of our 250 Clinical
Consultants. The Clinical Consultant and their staff integrate the product into
their daily routine, use the product regularly over a given period of time and
then complete the survey. MORE![]()
Use our powerful "full-text" search engine to find clinical evaluations. You can also search by product name, manufacturer or topic.
The award of Editors' Choice signifies the most unique and significant product in the issue. The editors review each product and clinical evaluation article scheduled for an issue and then select the issue's Editors' Choice.
An Editors' Evaluation is an Exclusive Review of a product by a group of editors of THE DENTAL ADVISOR. An Editors' Evaluation occurs when the product being reviewed is bulky or expensive and cannot be easily sent to our Clinical Consultants or when the company wants a rapid review.
Each year the January/February issue of THE DENTAL ADVISOR features our
Preferred Product List. This is a list of the products preferred by Dr.
John
Farah and our Editorial Staff. Nearly 95% of the
listed
products have been clinically evaluated by THE DENTAL
ADVISOR.
THE DENTAL ADVISOR was the first to publish long-term clinical evaluation
results on ceramics, cements, composites, laboratory composites, and bonding
agents. With over 24 years of data on these materials, THE DENTAL ADVISOR is
capable of providing the long-term data many customers require.
