ExactaTrays are disposable, double-arch impression trays made from a nylon composite material. Anterior trays, quadrant trays, two types of posterior trays, with and without sides, and fu!l-arch trays are available. The posterior trays with sides are intended to give the impression material support both medially and laterally to the arch. Fifteen consultants evaluated ExactaTrays in over 400 clinical cases. ExactaTrays are highly recommended for crown and bridge procedures and bite registrations. They received a clinical rating of 91%.
Suggested Retail Cost $39.95/box of 50 posterior trays ($0.79/tray)
Consultants named qualities such as sturdiness and width (wide enough to access areas), ease of use and time savings as what they liked most about ExactaTrays. Trays retain impression material well, and supporting framework and intra-arch mesh are heavier and stiffer than many other double-arch impression trays. The faciolingual tray dimension is also greater than similar products, which may reduce framework distortion caused by hard or soft tissue impingement and enhance rigidity from greater bulk of putty or heavy body impression material. Fit of trays (length and width) is above average. Packaging is excellent and environment-friendly. Eighty-one percent of consultants stated that they would purchase ExactaTrays.
