THE DENTAL ADVISOR Biomaterials Research Center provides a number of physical and mechanical tests for commercial and experimental dental materials, including:

Compressive strength and modulus
Flexural strength and modulus
Diametral tensile strength
Bond tests – inverted cone tensile test, Ultradent shear test, micro-tensile test
Elastic recovery of elastomers
Flexibility (strain in compression) of elastomers
Tear energy of elastomers
Flowability of elastomers (Shark Fin test)
Dimensional changes of elastomers
Microleakage
Gloss of polished surfaces
Cutting properties of diamond and carbide burs
Radiopacity
ANSI/ADA and ISO tests

THE DENTAL ADVISOR Biomaterials Research Center in cooperation with Apex Dental Milling can also provide CAD zirconia specimens for various physical and mechanical tests from various zirconia products. Click here for more information.
